Big Tex Self Storage Breaks Ground on New Location in Houston

Big Tex Self Storage, a locally-owned storage facility operator focused on developing and managing high-quality storage facilities in Houston, broke ground on a new location this past week just outside of Downtown Houston in the neighborhood of Montrose.

Big Tex prides itself on providing customers with a variety of storage solutions ranging from personal use, business needs, vehicle storage, and wine storage. The new location will be no different. As the facility is being built on a property that was once vacant and “primed for redevelopment and revitalization,” Big Tex will be able to provide its customers with the same experience they receive at their other locations.

The newest Houston facility will offer climate-controlled storage units for both personal and business use with additional wine storage for private collectors and restaurateurs in the area. The storage space will have more than 100,000 square feet available and serve the residents of the Montrose and Southampton neighborhoods.

The new facility is also going to have modernized and extensive security features that will put renters at ease. Security features will include more than 40 cameras recording on-site activity 24/7, monitors on every floor, digitally-controlled access to enter the facility, and individual door alarms for each unit.

The new Houston location will have storage units ranging in size from 5×5 to 10×30, some of which are climate-controlled. Services will include delivery acceptance, on-site packing and moving supplies, complimentary truck rental, use of dollies and platform trucks, and flexible rental agreements.

Customers will be able to begin storing items at this location upon its opening in August 2016.
