How Consistent Branding Can Drive Storage Rentals

Storage.com’s Karl Bieber discusses the importance of having consistent branding on your facility’s signage and on your website.

Potential customers drive by your facility all the time. But when they are actually looking to rent storage, they will start their search online. It’s important that customers who find your website make an instant mental connection to the physical facility that they see all the time.

Be sure to use the same logos, colors and other brand identifiers across your website and your physical location. It is also helpful to include pictures of your facility on your website, so customers can see your space ahead of time and recognize it when they do drive by.

Hi, I’m Karl from Storage.com.

Let’s talk about the importance of having a consistent look with your online location and your physical location.

Many storage facilities are located on busy streets. Potential customers drive by every day, and they notice your company signs and logo. When they’re ready to look at a facility though, many of these people won’t drive to the location in order to make a reservation.

Instead, they’ll check out your facility online. And when they do, it’s important that consumers instantly recognize your business online and associate it with your facility.

Use the same imagery from your signs and logo that they see on your building, and include a photo of your physical location on a contact page with your address. That way, the visual cues will trigger people’s memories, and they’ll recognize your company and your location.

Not only does this visual continuity help consumers find what they’re looking for, it can also help to create a more powerful brand image for your storage facility. Over time, consumers will begin to associate customer service, price, quality of goods, and everything about your business with your company name and logo.

If your website doesn’t match the appearance of your storage facility, then you’re missing out on valuable brand building opportunities.
