Storage.com is starting a new program in which our company and storage network members can support important causes throughout the year. To kick off this program, we have partnered with the Boomer Esiason Foundation to raise awareness and funds for the fight against cystic fibrosis.
Cystic fibrosis is a life-threatening genetic disorder that impacts the lives of 30,000 adults and children around the nation. The disease produces thick mucus that clogs lungs and prevents the creation of natural enzymes to break down food and absorb nutrients, which can cause serious health issues for those living with it. Though the quality of life for those living with cystic fibrosis has changed over the last few years, funding for cystic fibrosis research is always needed to continue improving those lives.
Boomer Esiason Foundation | Fighting Cystic FibrosisThe fight against cystic fibrosis is an issue close to us, as US Storage Search, Inc., the self storage directory in Omaha, Neb., that operates Storage.com, has had a long relationship with the Boomer Esiason Foundation and its president, Dave Rimington, through its social media firm, Hurrdat Social Media, based in Lincoln, Neb.
Over the years, the experiences we’ve had with Boomer Esiason Foundation and Rimington have shown us exactly how much good the foundation can do. With Storage.com being the flagship self storage website in our network, we were fortunate enough to have a vehicle that could support the foundation and those it serves.

Working with the foundation has been very rewarding, and we can’t wait to see how much the Storage.com platform can help the cause.
Starting September 10, 2014, at the Self Storage Association Fall Conference and Trade Show in Las Vegas, Nev., as well as throughout September, we will donate to the Boomer Esiason Foundation for each new facility that joins our member network. Also, for each new storage rental move-in booked through Storage.com during the months of September and October, we will make a donation to the foundation.
To kick off this partnership, Rimington will also be at the SSA Fall Conference and Trade Show to help spread the word about cystic fibrosis and the foundation’s mission. Rimington and Boomer Esiason were good friends in the 1980s when they both played for the Cincinnati Bengals, and Rimington has been heavily involved with the foundation ever since.
We are honored to work with the Boomer Esiason Foundation and have Rimington join us at the SSA Fall Conference and Trade Show, and we hope to support many important causes in the future.
